20 kv Salt Works Program.

Taking in beautiful countryside but having to contend with very tough terrain, this contract consisted of replacing porcelain pin insulators for much larger glass type and polymerics to glass discs. Changing transformers with larger sheds and the installation of surge arrestors on overhead

Start of Network Renewal Project (Pilot project)

This Contract involved extensive refurbishment of 10 kV overhead networks and preparation for 20kV change over.
Installations of new poles, dual ratio traformers, larger insulators, reconductoring 50mm up to 150 aaac.

Network Renewal Project

This project was one of the most challenging ever undertaken by CPD. Access to this site presented the biggest challenge of. Due to the remote location and rough terrain, we were unable to use mechanical excavators. Our team on the ground had to dig 47 pole holes out by pick and shovel and install steel tubes, While the new poles had to be lowered into position by helicopter.

With Norelec Ireland, Based in Kilcock nr Dublin averaging 40kms a month with 15 linesmen. Working in high profile area, which include stud farms, in and around the suburbs of Dublin, required a high level of customer care, keeping complaints to a minimum.

700kms in total of overhead woodpole refurbishment, including re-conductor work, replacing poles and transformers, and general refurbishment of overhead network.

Completed 8kms of 200mm portal construction from a new wind farm over hilly boggy terrain. Again we were faced with logistical challenges that were to be only overcome through hard work and determination to finish the job on time and within budget.

North of the M25 in Essex and Buckinghamshire, Refurbishment & Recon ABC of 125 spans per on average month, along with 110 services on average a month, with total of 19 men on site.
